A vehicular camera for capturing a wide view of a traffic ahead of a vehicle and displaying it on a display is mounted in many vehicles. In the vehicular camera, its optical axis is directed toward a front of the vehicle, that is, a so-called traffic-directional axis. This camera is moved by a movement mechanism, such as a motor, to adjust the view angle of the camera. Heretofore, a large motor having a large output has been employed to move the vehicular camera quickly.
To keep the view angle of the camera wide as possible and also move the camera quickly, the motor must have a large output. A battery mounted in the vehicle also has a limited capacity. Hence, if the motor having a large output is driven by the battery, then the battery will be quickly used up.
To overcome this problem, a camera is proposed which is moved by a motor and a transmission mechanism using a cam mechanism. In this camera, as shown in U.S. Pat.
